Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does It Take To Make a Neon Sign?
Here at Radikal Neon, we’re known for being one of the fastest LED Neon sign companies on the market. No matter what you decide to make, we have two lead time options for both urgent and non-urgent projects! Non-urgent products may take anywhere from two weeks to four weeks to get to your doorstep.
If your sign is required urgently for an event, gift, or just because you’d like it sooner, we offer our Expedited Lead Time option. This will help you get your sign in 14 days or less.
Learn moreHow Are Neon Signs Installed?
Using either the supplied Mounting Screws or Suspension Wires.
Step 1:
Take your sign and place it flat up against the intended wall or space. If it’s super long or heavy, ask a friend for help.
Step 2:
While one person is holding the sign, use a marker pen to mark holes in the wall where the mounting holes have been drilled in the acrylic backing. This will be super helpful when you get the drill out next as you can use these marker dots as guides.
Step 3:
Place the sign back in the box or on a safe surface to avoid scratching the acrylic backing - get your drill equipped with a twist drill bit and drill pilot holes exactly on the points you marked on the wall using your marker in step two.

Learn moreHow Long Do Neon Signs Last?
Our signs can last for up to 40,000 hours, which translates to roughly four years of illumination. Over the course of use, the LEDs will fade down to a gentle light and switch off. This takes some serious use first though!
We also offer wireless dimmer remotes for an extra fee. Dimmer remotes don’t just make the sign less intrusive in a home setting, but they can enhance the lifetime period via the dimming function.
Learn moreWhy Are Neon Signs So Expensive?
There are three main factors that drive the price of our neon signs:
One:
The length of LED Neon required to create your sign.
Two:
The complexity of your sign. For example: tight bends, or large scale signs that require multiple technicians.
Three:
The labor hours required to actually produce your custom masterpiece and bring it to life - exactly as you imagined.
When thinking about what you’d like made, consider these 3 factors and compare them to your budget. You can always ask us to help guide your design based on your budget too!
Learn moreLED vs. Neon Signs
LED Neon is like the Tesla of the lighting industry: like Tesla is quickly replacing the antiquated combustion engine of the past, LED Neon is replacing traditional, glass-encased neon. As technology evolves, so too do signage products - and our Rad Super Mini LED Neon is the best we’ve come across!
Much like people collect LP records, traditional neon will be treated the same. A rare artform appreciated as a valuable good, but no longer the most economic fit for signage, whether that is in your home, business, or at your next event. This comparison is true in more ways than one.
Learn moreAre Neon Signs LED?
Not all neon signs are, but Radikal Neon only uses LEDs!
Imagine finding a product that has an almost indistinguishable appearance to traditional neon, but it’s cheaper, non-fragile, eco-friendly, and totally safe to have around the home. You would find LED Neon - our Rad Super Mini LED Neon, specifically - meets all of these requirements.
All of our signs are made from LED Neon tubes, unlike the traditional glass tube neon containing argon or neon gases.
Learn moreCan Neon Signs Be Repaired?
Yes, our LED Neon signs can certainly be repaired! It all just depends on the issue.
Unlike the traditional glass and gas neon that can be time-consuming and result in heart-stopping repair costs, our signs are typically much simpler to repair and considerably more cost-effective - or totally free if under warranty!
Learn moreCan Neon Signs Go Outside?
Yes, we have a simple solution if you want to use your LED neon sign in an outdoor setting where it will be exposed to rain and water. We keep your new LED neon sign safe by building an acrylic box around your sign. This will ensure that no water makes its way into your sign and causes irreparable damage. Just to be sure, we also apply silicon glue to the ends of the LED neon to avoid any leakages.
Learn moreCan Neon Signs Be Dimmed?
Yes! Using our highly selective range of dimmer remotes, you can reduce the light output of your sign to establish the perfect vibe for your space. The wattage of your sign will indicate which remote is the best fit for your new lights.
Learn moreAre Neon Signs Dangerous?
LED Neon signs are not dangerous!
Our signs are low voltage (12 volts) and they produce minimal heat, so they’re safe to touch - even when they’ve been on all week!
As they’re made with acrylic instead of glass, there’s no danger of glass shards in the event of a drop. Traditional neon also uses toxic gases like argon and neon, which leak out if there’s a break. That’ll never happen with LED technology!
Learn moreAre Neon Signs Hot?
As all of our signs use LED Neon, they have a very low voltage - 12 volts to be exact. As a result, they produce minimal heat, even when they’ve been on for days or weeks on end. The most they heat up is experienced as a slight warmth to the touch after being on for extended periods of time.
Learn moreWhat Warranty Do Your Neon Signs Have?
All of our signs produced for indoor use include a 2-year warranty valid from the date of dispatch. This warranty is free and includes all electrical components as well (transformers, AC plugs and dimmers).
